Fellowship Details

The Nebraska Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery Fellowhip is a one year advanced surgical training program for Doctors of Podiatric Medicine who have graduated from an accredited residency program.

Our fellows practice under several attending physicians including Dr. David Waters and Dr. Joshua Wray to perfect their advanced foot and ankle surgical skills. This elective year of additional training is for DPM's who are serious about taking their patient care and surgical skills to the highest level.

The focus of this fellowship is centered around reconstructive surgery and includes training on Total Ankle Replacements, 3D Printed Custom Implants, and Scopes, among others. However, it also includes specific training in clinical settings including clinical patient care, the best way to run a clinic schedule and advanced billing and coding training.

All attending surgeons who participate in this fellowship are highly skilled, innovative, and recognized nationally as leading foot and ankle surgeons. They also view quality of patient care and interpersonal skills as of the utmost importance and are looking for fellows who hold such qualities.

Fellows in our program have the unique advantage to travel to multiple locations across Nebraska to learn under different surgeons and work with a diverse patient population. To view details on average number of cases and travel requirements, please see the details below. If you feel you hold the skills required and want to take the next step in your career by taking those skills to the next level and would like to applying for the fellowship or for general questions, please email DrWaters@prfootandankle.com
